The Comedy cruises – a short burst of fun from the resident artist starts the cruise off as you head off along the canal to collect your evening meal. Enjoy the food at a table before the rip roaring after effects of a fabulous and entertaining evening leave you in stiches. Be prepared for plenty of fun and laughter and don’t be caught out.

Lancaster Canal Boats – Kingfisher Cruises
Kingfisher Cruises operate year round cruises along the beautiful Lancaster Canal.  During the peak season (May to October) the timetabled daily cruises run from various locations. With central heating (if required) the boat offers a great all weather option in times of inclement weather. The two centre cruises run on a Lancaster timetable working out from Barton Grange and Lancaster during this summer period.

Lancaster area – The Original Lune Aqueduct Cruise
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday they run the hugely popular Lune Aqueduct Return Cruises – with up to 3 cruises per day. They depart from the Aldcliffe Road mooring  ( LA1 1AZ)  opposite the Waterwitch Pub in, through the outskirts of the city passing the refurbished mills that follow the canal towpath through the city and onto the spectacular Award Winning Lune Aqueduct. In 2012 the Lune Aqueduct received a magnificent makeover which restored it back to its original splendour and creating it to a high quality visitor attraction. The cruises last 1 hour 45 minutes and hot & cold drinks are available on board as well as refreshments.  A number of lunchtime cruises departing at 12:30 offer the choice of fish and chips or hot pot on board whilst some of  the afternoon cruises depart with Afternoon tea as an option.

Lancaster – Carnforth Watherbus
On a number of weekends through the summer the 'Waterbus' service operates between Lancaster and Carnforth departing at 10:30. The waterbus goes over the Lune Aqueduct and through the city suburbs before the canal meanders its way towards Hest Bank. Passing through the area between Hest bank and Bolton Le Sands offer great views of Morecambe Bay and the Lakeland hills. The waterbus continues onto its destination at Carnforth arriving some 3 ½ hours later.

A return cruise from Carnforth to the end of the navigable Lancaster Canal at Tewitfield, departing at 14:30 and includes afternoon tea is a must to pass a summer Saturday afternoon. Take the opportunity to travel through the only tunnel on the canal as the boat goes under the M6 motorway.

Special offers are available on this waterbus cruise. If you are walking along the towpath you may wish to board the waterbus, this is done by holding you hand out at bridges anywhere along the stretch of canal. When you wish to leave advise the crew who will arrange for the boat to stop at your preferred stop.

The return waterbus service departs from Carnforth on the Sunday at 1030 arriving in Lancaster at 1400.
