This weekend will be another busy one across Lancashire with plenty of great events filled with fun for you to enjoy.
Pendle
Discover Pendle for a day out shaped by dramatic landscapes and one of Lancashire’s most well-known stories. Pendle Hill stands at the centre of it all, closely linked to the witch trials of 1612, with the surrounding villages and countryside still reflecting that history today. Places like Barley, Roughlee and the market towns of Colne and Nelson offer a mix of heritage and everyday life, while local landmarks and heritage centres help tell the story that has made Pendle famous.
Beyond its history, Pendle is a great place to spend time outdoors, with walking and cycling routes stretching across the Pennine landscape and up to the summit of Pendle Hill itself. There’s plenty to enjoy along the way, from family attractions like Thornton Hall Country Park to independent shops, markets and mill outlets in towns such as Barnoldswick and Barrowford. A lively events calendar, including the Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival and the Colne Grand Prix, adds another dimension to the area across the year.
