About World Gravy Wrestling Championships
A wild and whacky wrestling competition in a pool full of Lancashire gravy.
Contestants must wrestle in the gravy for two minutes. Points are scored for fancy dress, comedy effect, and entertainment.
All contestants get sponsorship and really give it their all to raise money for charity. Aside from raising funds for charity the events organisers have always wanted this to be a great day out for the community.
This year the event will take place at Bacup Cricket Club. This new venue offers plenty of space for a fun filled family day out, with activities including bouncy castles, face painting, craft beer stalls, cake and tombola stands.
