About BBC Musical Storyland Live - Dukes Theatre and Cinema
A live performance of CBeebies Musical Storyland episode ANANSE AND THE MONKEYS in which musicians from BBC Philharmonic Orchestra will be joined by storyteller Jan Blake and multi-instrumentalist Sidiki Dembele to share this funny, musical story from the Caribbean.
ANANSE is an interactive show with music, songs and lots of joining in for children aged 3-7 and their adults. Following the 30-minute live performance Note Weavers CIC, music consultants for the Musical Storyland series, will lead a song and musical activity session linked to the story.
This event is a fun way to introduce young children to musical discovery and timeless fairytales.

Ananse's family is hungry, and he needs to make some money fast so he can buy food. Ananse has a very useful skill - he can sew. He decides to make some hats to sell, but on his way to the market, some curious monkeys steal his hats while he snoozes under a tree. How will he get his hats back?
