About Blackburn Artists' Society 80th Anniversary Exhibition: Day and Night - Queen Street Mill Textile Museum, Briercliffe
Founded in 1946, Blackburn Artist's Society are celebrating their 80th Anniversary in 2026, and what better way to celebrate than with a beautiful new exhibition at Queen Street Mill? They have spent many years meeting at iconic venues across Lancashire including industrial venues, historic houses, small breweries and distilleries, vehicle museums and model villages, plant nurseries, Theatres, and historic churches. And have had the opportunity to visit some of Lancashire's most beautiful gardens, beaches and landscapes. Their 2026 exhibit at Queen Street Mill, "Day and Night", is a celebration of all these wonderful places.
The talented members of the society have brought to life landscapes, wildlife, history and people. From sketches, to paintings, this exhibit is an inspiring showcase of Blackburn Artists' talent!
Blackburn Artists accept all members from professional, to those with an interest in art, or even total beginners who want to find a new hobby or spend some time with a like-minded group of friends. The society's emphasis is on fun and friendship, eating homemade cake and enjoying a brew while producing some interesting and sometimes incredibly good artwork.
The Exhibit will launch on Thursday 16th April and all are welcome to celebrate with us. We will have free tea and filter coffee, and you'll have chance to chat with the artists who have contributed to the exhibit.
Entrance to the exhibition is free, and the artwork is available to purchase.
