The Guild Lounge announces an exciting new programme of live entertainment
Preston City Council is delighted to announce the new programme at the Guild Lounge, a 350-seat entertainment space in the heart of Preston City Centre.
The Guild Lounge will host a fresh new programme of live entertainment incorporating comedy, music, theatre and local events.
The re-launch of The Guild Lounge marks an exciting new chapter for live entertainment and an exciting addition to the night-time economy, attracting residents and visitors alike.
The highlight of the year will be the magical family-pantomime ‘Cinderella’, presented by Preston-based Initiate Theatre from 19-31 December. Prepare for dazzling costumes, catchy songs, and all the traditional pantomime fun you could wish for. This is a show for the whole family, packed with local Prestonian charm and classic panto mayhem.
Audiences can enjoy live touring theatre from ‘Romeo & Juliet’ running from 26-28 November 2026, an exciting introduction to Shakespeare. Family-favourite ‘The Elves & The Shoemaker’ has been announced for February 2027.
The line-up includes a variety of live music events bringing you the very best in tribute entertainment including ‘ABBA Sounds’ on Friday 18 September, ‘Beatlemania’ on 26 September, ‘Oasiz’ on Saturday 10 October and ‘Bye Bye Baby’ on the Friday 20 November.
Cricket fans are in for a treat on the Thursday 17 September as The Guild Lounge presents ‘An Audience with Lord Ian Botham’, a rare opportunity to hear one of England's greatest ever cricketers share stories from his remarkable career.
The programme will also see the return of the popular monthly Laughter in the Lounge comedy series, which showcases a variety of some of the UK's most exciting stand-up talent.
