Strike a pose at Seaside Giggles

Blackpool Illuminations is launching a brand-new interactive feature and is inviting the public to have their say before designs are finalised.

Inspired by the golden age of classic seaside postcards, Seaside Giggles is a larger-than-life photo opportunity that allows visitors to become part of the artwork by popping their heads through specially designed vintage postcard scenes.

The postcards will be located on the Tower Festival Headland opposite The Blackpool Tower.

Blackpool Illuminations has developed nine design concepts for Seaside Giggles, and members of the public are being invited to help decide which designs make the final display.

Visitors can view the shortlisted concepts and vote for their favourites, with the six most popular designs being brought to life as part of this year's Illuminations.

Cllr Lynn Williams MBE, Leader of Blackpool Council, said: "Blackpool Illuminations continues to evolve while celebrating the heritage and character that make our resort so special. Seaside Giggles is a fantastic example of how we're creating engaging, family-friendly experiences that encourage visitors to interact with the display and make lasting memories. I would encourage everyone to take part in the vote and help shape this exciting new addition to the Illuminations."

Voting for the Seaside Giggles designs is now open and will close at 10am on 14 August. The six winning designs will then be transformed into oversized postcard installations and featured as part of the Blackpool Illuminations 2026 display.
