As they step into the new year, Lancaster Walks, Talks & Tours are thrilled to confirm their nomination for the prestigious Experience of the Year award at the Lancashire Tourism Awards 2026. The ceremony will take place on February 11th at the iconic Winter Gardens in Blackpool, where owner and Blue Badge Tourist Guide Gregory Wright will be representing the company among the biggest players in Lancashire’s Tourism Industry.

This nomination comes on the heels of Gregory being declared Ambassador of the Year at the Lancaster BID Awards 2025 in November, recognizing his commitment to showcasing the rich history and vibrant culture of Lancaster through his engaging guided tours and his hard work across numerous city centre attractions.

To kick off the new year, Lancaster Walks, Talks & Tours invites visitors and curious locals alike to explore Lancaster’s past with three tours two hour tours this January.

Hauntings, Hangings & Horrid Happenings – These evening tours on Saturday 10th January and Saturday 31st January will delve into Lancaster's darker side with details of grim & ghoulish goings on in times past.

- Witchcraft 1612 - On Saturday 17th January this afternoon tour focuses on the notorious Pendle Witches, examining the famous case that captivated the imaginations of Jacobean England.
