Dunsop Bridge
Dunsop Bridge is the entrance to the famous Trough Of Bowland - even the Queen has visited the tiny village of Dunsop Bridge in the Ribble Valley! Just a quick walk around and you can understand why she would choose to visit this picturesque village.
Sitting at the confluence of two rivers, with both Whitendale Hanging stones and Middle Knoll located only a few miles away, it’s no wonder that walking is one of the most popular activities for visitors. Dunsop Bridge is the perfect place to start, rest or finish your walk. You can even walk alpacas from one of the farms in the village too.
Dunsop Bridge has been officially declared by the Ordnance Survey as the nearest village to the exact centre of the British Isles.
If you are hungry after all that walking you can experience AA Rosette food at the Inn at Whitewell.
