The world cup has started, and England are about to take to the pitch! But if you weren’t one of the lucky ones going to see them in action in America this summer, don't fear! There are plenty of great spots to watch the goals here in Lancashire.

Take a look at some of the venues hosting the matches below.

Blackpool Winter Gardens

Lancashire’s biggest indoor World Cup Fan Zone returns to the iconic Winter Gardens Blackpool as England begin their quest for glory.

General admission or VIP Penalty Box admission tickets are now on sale for England’s opening two group matches against Croatia on 17th June and Ghana on 23rd June, with more expected as the tournament continues.

Finsley Gate Wharf

Finsley Gate Wharf is the place to be for the World Cup! Big screens, ice‑cold pints, and all the England games shown. What's more, they are offering buy one, get one free on drinks before the first goal, raffle tickets every time you buy a round, with the draw at half‑time and outdoor and indoor seating, with the game shown across multiple screens. You may also get to meet Fin (pictured) and shake his paw as the goals hit the net. 

Chew's Yard

Chew's Yard in Preston are going all out with their World Cup celebrations, tickets are available for the first three England Matches with guaranteed seating options in the event space, but the food and drink hall will be available free for walk-ins, until they reach capacity! They also have a World Cup Family Craft day planned on Saturday 13th June.

Lancaster Town Hall

Skiddle are turning Lancaster's Town Hall into a major Fan Zone this world cup, with huge screen and guaranteed seating available when you purchase a £6 ticket, which includes your first drink of the evening. Free tickets are available however entry is not guaranteed, as it will depend on how busy the screening becomes by the time you arrive.  

Spread Eagle, Sawley

The World Cup action is coming to The Spread Eagle, Sawley. The pub will be showing all the big games on their big screen, including every England and Scotland match.
With a cold pint waiting at the bar, great company, and every kick, tackle, and goal shown live, it’s a great location to watch the action unfold.

Viva Blackpool

Viva are bringing their own World Cup Fanzone to Blackpool this year, with every England and Scotland match shown as the teams take on the world. Expect an electric atmosphere, big screen action, and live pre-match entertainment. Tickets are available now for just £6.50 and includes bar voucher of the same value, with food and drink served directly to your table.

Lancaster House Hotel

Looking for an alternative Lancaster option to your world cup viewing? Look no further than Lancaster House Hotel where the Dalton Suite will be showcasing all the England matches with food and drinks available from The Sandeman Bar. Head down early to take advantage of the Dine & Drink Deal which gives you a main meal and a drink for £20 between 5:30pm and 8:30pm. Then once the game starts, a 10% off drinks promotion runs until the final whistle, with snacks and half-time nibbles thrown in.

Arc Cinema, Preston

Want to catch England's World Cup Action on the biggest possible screen? Then the Arc Cinema has you covered.  Enjoy every goal, foul and moment in full cinema quality with Dolby surround sound and 4k laser projection, surrounded by fellow fans in Preston.

Free tickets are available now, however seating is limited and tickets can only be secured in advance with the purchase of a cinema snack combo. You'll also be supporting a local grassroots football team with your purchase. The Final is also expected to be shown.

The Cuckoo's Nest at Brindle Distillery

The Cuckoo's Nest is set to deliver an exceptional atmosphere during each England game this summer. Catch every England match live on the big screens with great food, cold drinks, and an unbeatable atmosphere. Food will be available until kick off, with bar open until the final whistle. It's expected to get busy though, so arrive early to secure your spot.

Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel and Spa

Don’t miss a match! The Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel has live matches shown daily on the big screens in its bar, with beer packages available and delicious bar food on hand. The ideal opportunity to catch every piece of the action, no matter which team you are supporting.

Expect great seats, ice cold beers & smokin' BBQ brought right to you, no matter who you're cheering for. Spots must be secured by calling the restaurant of your choice.

Level Preston

What's a sports bar if it's not showing the games? Level Preston's Brooklyn Sports Bar is your place to see the matches this summer in the heart of Preston City Centre, with all the action on the big screens and an electric matchday atmosphere, plus cold beer on tap and a great food menu, you can't go wrong.

Mytton Fold

Make Mytton Fold part of your Matchday experience, with all England matches on show in the bar and lounge area, live on the big screen. Get there early to secure your spot and enjoy a fantastic atmosphere.

Colne Market Hall

Only just opened, Colne Market Hall is looking like a fabulous spot to catch the world cup action this summer! All matches will be shown on the big screen in the market hall, with food drink and a great atmosphere too boot. Food will be served until 9pm, so get there early to enjoy great grub ahead of kick off and guarantee a superb spot.
