The Artists Studio's at Haworth Art Gallery are a perfect stop off point when looking for a gift for your mum! There are artists selling a variety of wares from the studios, including pottery, galsswork, paintings, prints and more. There is also a frame makers if you wanted to get a special photo or artwork framed to make the ideal gift. The Artists studios are open on the first Sunday of every month, but the sellers also have an online presence and may be able to delvier items locally. 

Alternatively head to Chorley where you can find Heskin Hall with its variety of shops including Hepplestone Art Gallery which offers the best contemporary art from some of the most collectable UK and international artists, and pieces from Northern Girl, a local artist heavily inspired by nature and wildlife. Nearby The Alabaster Jar offers the chance to custom paint your own items to give as a gift.  

Mouthwatering Lancashire drinks  

Do your catch ups usually involve a cheeky G&T? Lancashire has a range of gin distilleries where you can find an abundance of different flavours waiting for you to try out. You will find most of Lancashire's gin producers selling online, including Goosnargh Gin. Alternatively pick up a bottle of Cuckoo Gin in person at Brindle Distillery near Chorley, Lytham Gin at Sandgrown Spirits in Lytham, and Whitehall Distillery Gin at Springbank Manor in Darwen. 

Other great Lancashire produced drinks include Bowland Brewery and Farm Yard Brew Co for ale lovers. Alternatively head to Atkinsons in Lancaster or Exchange Coffee in Clitheroe or Blackburn for some fabulous coffee, both stores sell everything you need to enjoy amazing coffee from the comfort of your own home. 

Brighten up the room with houseplants 

We are blessed with a number of brilliant garden centres across Lancashire for you to find fabulous blooms. Why not stop by Bay View Garden Centre in Carnforth, Barton Grange near Garstang or Holden Clough Nurseries near Clitheroe to pick out a plant?  

These garden centres all feature fantastic homeware sections too where you can find the ideal pot for whichever plant you choose, and beautiful garden ornaments to make outside flower beds sparkle.  

Offer a blast from the past with a vintage item 

Often the most sentimental items are those that remind us of our past. Why not remind them of a treasured memory with a vintage item or collectible from one of Lancashire’s many vintage and second-hand stores.  

Visit Bygone Times in Eccleston, a converted mill filled to the brim with wonderful treasures, or The Regent, in Blackpool, which spans three floors of an old cinema, or maybe a trip to Lancaster to Assembly Rooms Emporium home to a range of different sellers.  
 

A stylish gift 

For the active and stylish ladies, look no further than Lanx! This Whalley-based shoe designer and maker has a range of handmade and durable shoes and boots which are perfect for a spot of hiking, wearing to lunch with the girls, or for a stroll around the shops. You can even get them tattooed with a custom design should you wish!  Alternatively check out Montane Factory Shop in Lancaster where you can pick up the latest outdoor gear to get planning those spring and summer walks. 

Or if they’re a fan of high street brands, there’s no better place than some of Lancashire’s shopping centres. Preston’s Fishergate Shopping Centre has lots of well-known favourites including a TKMaxx perfect for a unique find. Alternatively, Lancaster’s St Nics Arcade and Houndshill in Blackpool both offer great clothes shopping options.  

Delicious local food

Food lovers can rejoice at Booths the leading Lancashire supermarket which stocks a range of local produce, all ready to delight every palate. Booths is the ideal place to pick up a few products to pull together a hamper of goodies.

If you are looking for more ideas to add to a hamper for the foodie in your life, head to The Home Farm Shop at The Eagle & Child in Parbold, The Bee Centre near Chorley for some locally produced honey or pop into TOTI at The Cartford Inn for some of the best produce from across the region.
