This Heritage Open Day, join this exciting walking tour of the Museum on the Move project and explore the rich history of Haslingden through the stories relating to its local businesses.
The journey begins at Haslingden Library, where an exhibition of historical objects related to local businesses sets the stage for a tour up and down Deardengate stopping at each participating business which feature a window display with fascinating facts and stories about the architecture of the building and its past.
This exciting project is a collaboration between The Whitaker Museum and Art Gallery, Rossendale Borough Council and Haslingden Library aiming to uncover and celebrate the unique heritage of the area.
