One of the UK’s best-loved pop bands is heading to Blackpool for a dazzling Blackpool Illuminations Switch-On concert.

To say thank you to local emergency services and NHS staff in Lancashire, Highest Point Festival is giving away 1000 tickets to this year’s event, with both Friday 17th and Saturday 18th May tickets up for the taking.

World Record holder, Mark Beaumont rides into The Dukes this May to relive how he cycled around the world in fewer than 80 days.

The staff at Lancashire’s award winning visitor attraction Leighton Hall don’t have to take off the dust sheets to welcome this season’s visitors from 1st May.  Instead, they just clear away the tea things and pop a rogue set of wellingtons aside to prevent them being tripped over.

Lancaster based professional photographer Nick Dagger was on hand to capture the scene photography for the upcoming CBeebies production of Puss in Boots. 

A special programme of events is being held at Clitheroe Castle to celebrate St George's Day.
