Since 1995, April 28th has been celebrated as National Superhero Day, a day to honour the world’s most loved role models, both fictional and real, all of whom spend their days fighting against evil whilst serving to protect.

This year, to celebrate National Superhero Day 2019, Blackpool Pleasure Beach is honouring the real-life superheroes that make a difference every single day.

The park has announced that the UK’s real-life superheroes, working within the emergency services, can enjoy the day at Blackpool Pleasure Beach free of charge when attending with another adult paying the full gate price.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach really is the world’s most ride intensive amusement park, home to the most talked about rides in the UK. With 10 amazing rollercoasters to choose from, whatever your taste in thrills, the park has a ride for you. Younger thrill-seekers can enjoy the ups and downs of the Blue Flyer before they progress onto the classic Nickelodeon Streak. If you have a head for heights, the UK’s tallest rollercoaster, The Big One, offers high-speed drops and breathtaking views.  If you like your world to be turned upside down, take your pick from Revolution, Infusion or Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s newest addition to the line-up, ICON – the UK’s first double launch rollercoaster.

“We value the incredible roles those in the emergency service sector play, risking their own lives and helping others every day and wanted to give something back. We’re proud to announce our exclusive free superhero tickets and hope as many people as possible can take advantage for a fun fuelled, family day out.” Amanda Thompson OBE.

To gain superhero worthy access to the park, proof of identification will be required upon arrival. This will be accepted in the form of a work identification card or pass. The public service roles covered include members of the Fire, Police, Ambulance and Coastguard services.
