This workshop will introduce you to the intricacies of weaving.
First session:
This is aimed at individuals and craft groups with some weaving experience. With an understanding of the processes already in place, you’ll create your own decorative piece before this is incorporated into a larger banner with potential to hang in the corridor gallery.
Second session:
This is aimed at individuals with no experience of weaving or textile crafting. To start, you’ll be shown the basics of weaving in a demonstration, before creating your own piece on an individual handloom. Your segment may then be incorporated into a larger banner with potential to hang in the corridor gallery.
