A warm hearted (beautifully hand drawn) animation set in 1980s Manhattan. Dog lives a solitary life and yearns for companionship. After seeing a TV advertisement, Dog orders a robot friend. Over the course of a summer and to the rhythm of 80s NYC, the two become inseparable.
One summer night, Dog, with great sadness, is forced to abandon Robot at the beach. Will they ever meet again? We dare you not to be moved by this Oscar-nominated film that has a hugely evocative sound track, no dialogue, but speaks loudly about friendship, loss and loneliness.
