The Whitaker

Set in the beautiful Whitaker Park, The Whitaker is a forward-facing museum and art gallery that aims to foster inclusive, vibrant communities that thrive within the natural environment.

As well as fascinating nature and natural history galleries, there is also exhibitions on life in Rossendale and a programme of contemporary art exhibitions, showcasing the best art locally and nationally.

A busy programme of film screenings, family friendly activities, free heritage tours and much more.

Don't forget to stop off in the bar and kitchen, where the team of fantastic chefs look forward to welcoming you for a weekend brunch, lunch, supper or a sunday roast.  With seating inside and outside, you can enjoy your visit to the bar and kitchen while taking in the beautiful views across the rolling Rossendale landscape.

Public Transport Directions

The East Lancashire Railway line from Bury via Ramsbottom runs at weekends, and Whitaker Park and The Whitaker is just 5 minutes walk from the station.
