This Christmas, head along to The Dukes in Lancaster to be wowed by their festive show; The Snow Queen

The show starts with a puff of glitter, as the cast tell you the story of the Wicked Snow Queen. Then, feel the chill as the characters embark on their adventure. It is a magical way of celebrating the season, and not one to be missed.

Be a part of the journey as Kai and Gerda take on the wicked snow queen for Gerda's village of Stifle and meet the grubs, Ninny Rose and more characters on the way. Ninny Rose really steals the show with his quirky ways, impressive for a character that doesn't appear for long!

With festive songs sprinkled amongst the story and its songs, plus full use of the theatre auditorium, you really feel like you are part of the magic. Theres one scene that really produces a gasp from the audience, and some very clever use of light to make it all come to life. Audience members of all ages will love discovering the bravery, friendship and warmth that comes from the story too.

The Snow Queen is the latest Christmas production staged by The Dukes, Lancashire's only producing theatre. The Theatre stage two of their own unique shows each year; a roaming promenade show in the breath-taking Williamson Park, and a show to help get you in the festive spirit on stage in The Rake in the run up to Christmas and New Year.

In addition to The Snow Queen, there are other stage shows and cinema screenings planned throughout December at The Dukes. For more information about their full line up this Christmas, click here.
