Holiday Parks with fantastic family facilities

Partington Holiday Parks are great for a family getaway in the summer. Both Broadwater Holiday Park and Newton Hall Holiday Park have accommodation for the long weekend, and offer amazing facilities close to great seaside resorts.

Newtown Hall features a state of the art entertainment centre – Waltzers - with arcades, ten pin bowling, augmented reality darts, shuffleboard and more! Broadwater Holiday Park also has a pool, shop, sports bar and club complex.  Both parks also have a swimming pool and host great entertainment so your bank holiday evenings will be buzzing, plus you will find kids clubs to keep the little ones entertained. Stay even closer to the action in Blackpool

This summer we've seen multiple attractions across Blackpool teaming up to offer lower cost tickets to help visitors save money. Check out the Sandcastle Waterpark and Pleasure Beach Resort Waverider ticket, or the Wings and Wonder ticket which allows you to visit both Showtown Museum and Spitfire Visitor Centre for less.

With great family attractions like the iconic Blackpool Tower Eye offering stunning views over the Fylde coast, Blackpool Tower Ballroom providing a wow-factor afternoon tea, and the Blackpool Tower Circus ready to entertain every age. Not to mention Peter Rabbit Explore and Play, Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse, and the SEA LIFE Blackpool nearby and the abundance of amusement arcades on the promenade ready to provide you with hours of traditional seaside fun.

Exciting events await in East Lancashire

This August Bank Holiday sees an array of events take place across the county… but there's only one part of Lancashire where you can find a soapbox challenge, a rhythm and blues festival, a canal festival and The World Gravy Championships, and that’s East Lancashire. What's more the district is home to Towneley Hall which has just reopened following a huge refurbishment.

If you want to find a base in East Lancashire for all this and more, head to Fence Gate Lodge who have a couple of family rooms and some double rooms still available. You'll also find some delicious food there too!

Preston or Lancaster, your next city break

If a city break is calling, we have just the thing for you, and you can choose which you'd prefer... Lancaster, with its historic cobbled streets and majestic castle, or Preston with its stunning street art, brand new entertainment centre and food that will make your mouth water! Or you could choose to split the weekend up and visit both!

The brand new Domain Boutique Rooms in Lancaster has a number of serviced rooms available over the Bank Holiday weekend and it is so close to all the action. The Castle room has a view of Lancaster Castle, it’s a stones throw from the Judges Lodgings and on the same street as a number of great eateries and the City Museum

Preston offers a great city experience with the benefit of not being too big. If you want to experience the sights and sounds of the city in its amazing music venues, visit the 150 year old markets to snap a selfie with Wallace and Gromit or Feathers McGraw, grab a bite to eat and enjoy the amazing atmosphere at Chews Yard, it's all so easy to do. Then you can retire to the brand new bedrooms available at Barton Manor Hotel &Spa. Yes, it’s a little way out of the city centre – but its ideal for a quiet place to rest your head and enjoy the sounds of the surrounding countryside.
