Beacon Lighting  – The United Kingdom has a long tradition of celebrating Royal Jubilees, Weddings, and coronations with the lighting of beacons. Over 1,500 beacons will be lit throughout the United Kingdom this Jubilee, with the principal beacon being lit in a special ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

Learn more about the Royal connections to Lancashire – This weekend is a great opportunity to learn more about the special connection Lancashire has with the Royal Family. Whether it’s a trip to Lancaster Castle to learn more about the Duke Of Lancaster or a trip to see the new Lancashire Tapestry at Blackburn Cathedral, there’s plenty of opportunities to learn more about the royal connection to Lancashire.

Eat like a Queen – There’s never been a better excuse to take advantage of Lancashire’s delicious food. Whether it’s an afternoon tea in a tea room, bottomless brunch celebrations with your friends or a meal with your special someone, there’s plenty of options to choose from in Lancashire.

Party at one of Lancashire’s outdoor festivals - We are so excited for the return of live music and festivals! After two years many of Lancashire’s biggest festivals are returning this weekend including Leyland Festival, Darwen Live and Preston Mela.

Looking for something more family friendly? – if you are looking for something more suitable for children, there’s plenty of exciting child-friendly events happening. From free outdoor theatre performance of Alice in Wonderland to a trip to the farm to experience one of the many special Jubilee parties.
