This weekend is busy with lots of fun and exciting things to do in the county, whether you want to celebrate Bonfire Night, spend time with the kids or enjoy an evening of film, we have you covered.

Light Up Lancaster 
1-2 November 
For 2019, LIGHT UP LANCASTER commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission and the moment that Neil Armstrong and Edwin ‘Buzz’ Aldrin first set foot on the moon.
This year’s programme will see the artwork Museum of the Moon by Luke Jerram take centre stage.  With a diameter of seven metres, the artwork features 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the moon’s surface.

Blackpool Illuminations
Until 3 November 
Last chance to see the Blackpool Illuminations this weekend! Take a trip under the lights by foot, car or tram and be dazzled by the amazing displays bringing joy to children and adults alike. 
Known as the greatest free light show on earth they have been a major part of Blackpool’s attraction since 1879 when they were described as ‘Artificial Sunshine’. 

British Textile Biennial 
Until 3 November, various locations
The last weekend of this celebration of cloth. The first British Textile Biennial throws a spotlight on the nation’s creativity, innovation and expression in textiles against the backdrop of the impressive infrastructure of the cotton industry in Pennine Lancashire.

Ascarium 
Until 3 November, SEA LIFE Blackpool
Join in the spooky fun as SEA LIFE goes from an Aquarium to an Ascarium this Halloween (12th
October - 3rd November), with Sea Witches, spells and creepy sea creatures, it's bound to be a
treat!

Astley Bonfire and Fireworks
1 November, Astley Hall, Chorley
Join Chorley Council in Astley Park, for a spectacular bonfire and fireworks display with the magnificent Astley Hall as the backdrop. Watch one of the country's best fireworks display teams light up the Chorley skies with a splendour of colour.

Ed Byrne: If I'm Honest
1 November, Marine Hall, Fleetwood
Join Ed as he takes a long hard look at himself and tries to decide if he has ANY traits that are worth passing on to his children. A TV household name, in the past year Ed has appeared on Live At The Apollo (Host, BBC), Mock The Week (BBC), The Pilgrimage (BBC), Top Gear (BBC) and QI (BBC).

Edwina Hayes and Eve O'Riordan
1 November, The Boo, Waterfoot
We are delighted to welcome Edwina Hayes to The Boo this season for the first time! Edwina has opened numerous shows for Jools Holland and Van Morrison as well as her own gigs playing stages as far reaching as Glastonbury Festival to The Royal Albert Hall. 

Gordon's Ghost Night
1 November, Samlesbury Hall, Preston 
Are you willing to sit in the haunted rooms alone? Join Gordon Walsh on one of their most popular evenings as he guides you through their famously ghostly Hall and spooky grounds as you hunt for ghosts. There will be interactive group sessions, including table tipping and glass moving.

An Evening of Ghostly Lancashire Tales with Simon Entwistle
1 November, Civic Arts Centre & Theatre, Oswaldtwistle 
Over the years Simon Entwistle has amassed a battery of stories. These stories consist of hero's villains' ghosts' murders and mysteries and Simon will bring them all to life at the Theatre on Friday 1st November with stories spanning the centuries.

Blade Runner 
1 November, The Regent Cinema, Blackpool
Blade Runner is a 1982 science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott and written by Hampton Fancher and David Peoples. Starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer and Sean Young. 

Bonfire & Fireworks Extravaganza 
2 November, Thornton Hall Country Park, Thornton in Craven
It’s a Bonfire and Fireworks Extravaganza at Thornton Hall Country Park on Saturday 2nd November. Join them for an amazing fireworks spectacular to music. As well as … a huge Bonfire, Fireworks display to music, Live band and DJ, Children’s entertainment & Farm Park activities, Fire-breathers, Bar.

Ribby Hall Village 25th Anniversary Ball
2 November, Wrea Green 
This year Ribby Hall Village is celebrating its 25th anniversary!  Join them in celebrating this milestone with a spectacular night of live entertainment, exquisite food and drink, all set within the 'enchanted forest'.

Who Am I, Again? An Evening with Lenny Henry
3 November, Opera House & Winter Gardens, Blackpool
Split into two parts, in part one Lenny will take the audience through a jam session of funny and sad memories and stories the part two will see him interviewed by friend Jon Canter for further insights into his life and career.
