Lempen Puppet Theatre presents...The Fisher and His Wife. A very, very long time ago there lived a fisherman, together with his wife, in a small cottage made of dirty old metal. They had everything they ever needed and were happy and content. Then one day a talking fish starts granting them wishes…
This traditional story from the fairy tale collection of the Brother's Grimm has a sudden rebirth and renewed relevance in the present day.
This is an outdoor performance, told from a box, mounted at the front of a penny farthing bicycle and will keep both children and adults entertained.
Suitable for ages 4+ and their families. Duration 20 minutes. As this is an outdoor performance please wear suitable warm clothing.
We have made our current programme of events "Pay What You Can" to make our events affordable to all our audience. However if you are able to donate the price of a ticket this will help us to continue to keep theatre affordable to all.
Outdoor Performance
This is an outdoor performance – please dress ready to be sat outside! There will be hot drinks available for purchase, and you are bring your own blankets / hot water bottles if it is a cold day. There will be some cover over the audience and we will ask that no umbrellas are up during a performance so that all the audience can view the stage.
We will perform in all but the worst of weathers. However, should torrential rain or thunder and lightning strike, we will stop the performance for health and safety reasons.
We hold the 'Good To Go' Industry Standard. Meaning we adhere to the government guidance for our industry for COVID-19. We have all the relevant risk assessments and processes in place to maintain cleanliness and social distancing.
