Live Music and Dance workshop by Lunatraktors at Horse + Bamboo

Margate's 'broken folk' duo rework traditional music with influences from post-punk, trip-hop and queer cabaret. Lunatraktors strip folk down to its bare bones to raise the spirits, mixing tonal percussion, tap-dance and harmonic singing with whistles, drones and analogue synth.
Lunatraktors second album The Missing Star was released on the summer solstice 2021, and was listed as #2 on MOJO's Folk Albums of the Year.Dancing in Circles is a workshop and performance series suitable for all ages and abilities, led by award-winning 'broken folk' duo Lunatraktors. Fresh from the archives of Cecil Sharp House, Lunatraktors invite you to join them in the early stages of their new performance research project Dancing in Circles. Choreographer / percussionist Carli Jefferson and composer / singer Clair Le Couteur want to work with you to create a new folk dance style –– simple, euphoric, passionate, rhythmical.
