A quick course about Summer Foraging.
Meeting at the museum, the course starts with a short introduction about what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes, where they relate to foragers.
We'll then set off on a 2-2.5 hour walk in the local area, identifying the different edible and poisonous plants, flowers, fruits and mushrooms that we find. Stopping along the way for some homemade refreshments such as lovely wild food soup or elderflower champagne.
After the walk you will be able to savour a scrumptious and filling wild food lunch based on what we have found.
Under 16s are free, within reason, and we do need to know numbers in advance due to limited spaces.
We naturally wish for sunshine on the day; this is however an outdoor walking event, so we advise that you please dress accordingly.
Well beahved dogs are welcome if on a lead.
