An Evening with Sir Diarmaid MacCulloch, award-winning author and TV historian
Not one to shy away from controversial topics, historian and academic Sir Diarmaid MacCulloch presented the BBC series Sex and the Church, exploring how Christianity has shaped western attitudes to sex, gender and sexuality throughout history. His latest book delves into the life of one of the most notorious figures in British history, uncovering some truths that may challenge what you know about Thomas Cromwell. It has been described as "triumphant and definitive" (Sunday Times), "meticulous and magisterial" (Literary Review) and "the biography we have been awaiting for 400 years." (Hilary Mantel) He has written for The Guardian, most recently commenting on Brexit and how historians make sense of our political situation.
