The annual dusking event is back at Edgeside Park. You are invited to join in and dance the sun down on 31st October as part of this dusking event.
Meet by the Skate Park in Edgeside Park at 16:30. This is a creative, informal ritual to express thanks for the past summer, mark the beginning of winter, and welcome the darker months. You are encouraged to create your own costumes and bring hankies, bells, or anything else you would like to dance with.
Learn more about the newly created tradition of dusking from Lucy Wright.
'Anyone can go out dusking. In fact, you don't even have to go out to take part, if you don't want to. You can dusk in your living room, or back garden, or wherever suits…You can dance alone or in a team, by the book, or however the mood takes you on the night… it's all down to you. The main thing is just to do it: to honour the darkness as well as the light'.
