Known for her standout appearance as a finalist on BBC's Interior Design Masters series 6, interior designer, artist and retail expert, Rita Millat will be part of this year’s Chorley Flower Show – taking place in Astley Park, Friday 31 July to Sunday 2 August.

Rita’s work is rooted in storytelling and emotional connection, with an approach to design that goes far beyond aesthetics to explore the meaningful relationship we have with the spaces we share – a philosophy she will bring to life at Chorley Flower Show as she creates a show-stopping summer installation inside Astley Hall for show visitors to enjoy.

Alongside this, Rita will also host a programme of talks and workshops on the Friday and Sunday of the show, sharing her perspective on multi‑sensory design and creativity, reflecting on her Interior Design Masters journey, and offering a glimpse of what’s next in her career. Her workshops, ‘The ART of creating a HOME that feels good’ will be a masterclass in creating your own mood board, designing a room from scratch with simple designer tips on colour, layout and texture. Rita commented “Home isn’t just a space we share it’s a feeling”.

Deputy Leader of Chorley Council, Councillor Peter Wilson said “We can’t wait to welcome Rita Millat to Chorley Flower Show, joining a line-up of special guests, bringing her creative flair to the event and sharing expertise with show visitors.

“This year’s line-up brings something for everyone, with well-known faces bringing their expert knowledge on gardening, floral design, interior design, plus much more.”

Rita joins a packed schedule of workshops, expert talks and demonstrations across multiple stages for visitors to enjoy.

There’ll also be willow weaving workshops by Julie Livesey from Pip Cottage, demonstrations by Flowers North West, talks and Q&As by special guests Charlie Dimmock (Saturday 1 August), David Domoney (Sunday 2 August), as well as floral designer Jonathan Moseley. Visitors can also look forward to hearing from expert gardeners Martin and Jill Fish who will be sharing their knowledge with the crowds during all three days of the show.
