Whalley is preparing for its largest Artisan Market to date this Sunday, with a record number of traders and a strong line up of new exhibitors joining returning favourites. The event will transform the village into a vibrant showcase of independent makers, artisan food producers and creative talent.

Visitors can expect a wide range of stalls featuring handmade goods, street food, baked treats, homeware, art, jewellery and seasonal gifts. The market’s continued growth reflects its popularity across the Ribble Valley and further afield, attracting visitors who come to experience both the event and the character of Whalley itself.

The day is expected to bring increased footfall to the village, providing a boost for local cafés, pubs and independent shops. Organisers say the market plays an important role in strengthening Whalley’s independent economy while encouraging visitors to explore the village’s hospitality, retail offering and historic surroundings.

Live music will feature from Brother Bastion, performing his distinctive acoustic covers between 12 and 3, adding to the atmosphere across the day.

Laura Johnson, cofounder of Whalley Artisan Market, said

“This Sunday marks our biggest market yet, with an outstanding mix of new traders alongside our established regulars. We are proud to see how much the event has grown and how it continues to bring people into Whalley. Having Brother Bastion performing live between 12 and 3 adds something special to the day and helps create the atmosphere that makes this market what it is. At its heart, it is about supporting independent businesses and showcasing everything the village has to offer.”

Whalley Artisan Market takes place this Sunday in Whalley village. Visitors are advised to arrive early.
