Pleasure Beach Resort has been recognised as one of the world’s top theme parks, securing a place in Tripadvisors 2026 Travellers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best Things To Do.

The Seaside attraction ranked sixth in Europe and tenth globally in the Amusement & Water Parks category, making it the top rated theme park inside of the UK.

Other UK parks featured inside Europe’s top 20 include Paultons Park (eighth), Alton Towers (14th) and Drayton Manor (18th)

Amanda Thomson OBE, CEO of Pleasure Beach Resort said: “The theme park industry is operating at an incredibly high standard, so to be recognised not just as one of Europe’s best but among the world’s finest is a real honour.

“Guest experience is at the heart of what we do, and these results are a wonderful reflection of that commitment. I’m really looking forward to taking that on-park experience to the next level with the opening of our ride, Aviktas.”

The Travellers’ Choice: Best of the Best Awards celebrate the highest standard of excellence in travel, with the honour being held by fewer than 1% of listings on Tripadvisor. Rankings are determined by the volume and quality of reviews submitted to the platform over the past 12 months.

The recognition adds another accolade to what is already a landmark year for Pleasure Beach, which is celebrating 130 years since it was founded. The park also claimed four awards at the 2025 Theme Park UK Awards and was named Best Large Visitor Attraction at the Lancashire Tourism Awards earlier this year.

Attention now turns to the park's next landmark - the opening of its new ride, Aviktas. Opening on May 21, the giant swing will stand at 138ft tall, making it the tallest of its kind in the UK.

Guests can take full advantage of the new attraction, with the park open every day following the rides launch.

For those looking for added value, two tickets are available for £60 on select Fridays and Sundays and can be booked online at www.pleasurebeachresort.com
