Families across Fylde are in for a treat this Easter, with a fantastic line-up of free and family-friendly events bringing communities together across the borough this spring.

Kicking off the festivities, Fylde Fest: Spring into Life returns to St Annes Square on Saturday 28 March from 12-4pm, bringing live entertainment, local food and a real celebration of the season to the heart of the town. The following day, Sunday 29 March, Fairhaven Lake opens its doors for its annual open day from 11am-4pm, offering a wonderful opportunity to explore one of Fylde’s most-loved natural open spaces. And on Saturday 11 April, the very first St Annes Artisan Market fills St Annes Square with independent traders, handcrafted goods and a buzzing community atmosphere.

For families programme children at home during the school holidays, Fylde’s spring Holiday Activities and Food Programme offers free sports, activities and meals for eligible children – ensuring every young person in the borough can have an active and enjoyable break.

Easter is also a perfect time to explore Fylde's award-winning parks and green spaces. From the beautiful blooms of Ashton Gardens and Lowther Gardens to the fresh sea air at St Annes Beach, spring is well and truly arriving, and our brilliant local businesses are ready to welcome you.

Councillor Jayne Nixon, Lead Member for Tourism, Leisure and Culture, said: "Easter is such a special time in Fylde, and this year we have something for everyone. Whether you're joining us at Fylde Fest, browsing the artisan market, or simply taking a stroll through our gorgeous gardens, I'd also encourage everyone to venture a little further and explore the beautiful rural heart of Fylde - from our charming villages to the stunning countryside that makes this borough so unique.

“I hope residents and visitors alike will make the most of everything our wonderful borough has to offer this spring."
