Blackpool Restaurant Week 2026 energised the town, with over 25 restaurants taking part, more than 35 offers, family dining, exciting pop ups, and students gaining hands on experience in kitchens.
The week showcased the creativity, quality, and variety of Blackpool’s food scene, and the dates for 2027 are now confirmed.
Organised by Blackpool BIDs and supported by headline sponsor Coral Island, along with partners including Blackpool and The Fylde College, Abingdon Street Market, Beach House, Notarianni, Platform 9, VisitBlackpool, Coastal Radio, The Elgin Hotel, and Blackpool Transport, the week has grown in scale and ambition since its debut last year.
Sue Grindrod, Managing Director of Blackpool BIDs, said, “It has been amazing to see so many fantastic restaurants come together this year. I’m so grateful to every venue, and to our sponsors and partners. None of this would have been possible without their support. Seeing families, friends, and students enjoying the week, celebrating the talent and creativity across Blackpool’s food scene, has been such a joy.”
Building on its first year, the second Blackpool Restaurant Week expanded across the town, with more restaurants taking part, a wider range of offers, and new events introduced throughout the week. This included a stronger focus on family-friendly dining, with venues creating offers such as kids eat free and family feast deals, as well as celebrating Blackpool’s fish and chip heritage with several well known venues involved.
The event also extended beyond the town centre, with participating restaurants across areas including Highfield Road and Red Bank Road, alongside activity in key locations such as Abingdon Street Market.
The week launched with the first ever Tray-Mendous Dash at Blackpool Tower, a fun and energetic competition where participants navigated a challenging course carrying trays with glasses of water while crowds of families, friends, and colleagues cheered them on.
Students from Blackpool and The Fylde College also took part in pop-ups, Afternoon Teas, and bakery showcases, gaining hands-on experience and putting the next generation of talent in the spotlight.
Support for the week also came from leading names including Northcote and chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen, who shared their excitement for the event through a video acknowledging the diversity of Blackpool’s food scene. Activity included a social competition to win a three-course meal for two at the Michelin-starred restaurant, along with an opportunity for a Blackpool and The Fylde College student to gain experience in the Northcote kitchen.
Notarianni’s pop up at Abingdon Street Market was a highlight, with huge engagement from locals and visitors. The team offered a competition for one lucky winner to enjoy 10 of their famous sundaes, adding to the excitement of the week.
The aim of Blackpool Restaurant Week is to bring the town’s restaurants together in a way not previously seen, giving venues a platform to showcase what they do and encouraging people to explore and support the local food scene.
Sue Grindrod added: “We’re already looking forward to next year. We hope everyone will join us again to explore the town’s hospitality, discover new venues, and enjoy everything that makes Blackpool such a brilliant place to eat, drink, and celebrate together.”
Blackpool Restaurant Week 2027 will run from Thursday 11th to Thursday 18th March, giving locals and visitors another chance to explore new restaurants, enjoy family favourites, and experience the town’s food scene.
