Fylde Council and Discover Fylde are thrilled to announce the return of Fylde Fest to St Annes Square on Saturday 28 March with a vibrant celebration of healthy living, happiness and community spirit.

Fylde Fest: Spring into Life will offer a fun-packed afternoon of hands-on activities and live entertainment for all the family, all designed to get everyone moving, creating and connecting as they enjoy the fresh sea air of the seaside – perfect for building up your Blue Health (spending quality time near water for health, healing and wellbeing purposes.)

This fabulous FREE public event will run from 12 noon to 4pm in the newly developed St Annes Square event space to help showcase the region’s commitment to community wellbeing and will feature everything from dance fit classes from Zumba Suzy; to kickabouts with Lytham Juniors football; cool skateboarding tasters with Live Like Ralph; delicious live baking demos from Beurre Patisserie; live music sessions and the welcome return of the Smoothie Bike Challenge with the Fylde Sports and Communities Team.

For younger visitors, St Annes In Bloom will host fun children’s activities for budding gardeners; while the Fylde Rangers Service, who care for local parks and lead community walks and initiatives across the area, will highlight the many ways residents can stay active and connected with their local environment all year round.

Gaming enthusiasts can connect with fellow fans as the talented team from Red Wizard Gaming host engaging Warhammer introductory sessions, with Lego play available for younger visitors to get creative; and representatives from local friendship and support groups, including Streetwise and Just Good Friends, will also be on hand throughout the day to share vital information about the wide range of inclusive support and community opportunities available across the Fylde. And there’s lots more still to be announced!

This second spectacular live event for Fylde Fest continues the planned programme of celebrations across the region, all made possible through investment from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and which continues to position St Annes Square as an exciting hub for culture, commerce and community life.

Fylde Fest: Spring into Life is hosted by Fylde Council and Discover Fylde, with support from community partners, organisations and local businesses.

Leader of Fylde Council, Councillor Karen Buckley, said: “Our Fylde Fest events are all about bringing people together and celebrating what makes our community so special. We are very proud to be able to deliver this exciting second instalment in the Fylde Fest calendar, which will promote healthy living, positive wellbeing and the strong local connections we offer in the vibrant and welcoming setting of a fun family day out. Thanks to support from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, St Annes Square continues to grow as a space where residents and visitors can gather, enjoy and feel part of something positive. We look forward to seeing lots of families, friends and community groups come together on 28th March to truly Spring into Life!”
