The countdown is on for the return of the Fylde Ice Festival to Lytham on Saturday 14 February, promising an unforgettable day of family fun and romantic photo opportunities as the town centre becomes a sparkling showcase of ice artistry!
Clifton Square will be the heart of the frosty action, featuring a spectacular ice love seat sculpture, perfect for couples celebrating Valentine’s Day and families capturing special memories. Visitors can try their hand at ice carving on the interactive carving wall and witness the mesmerising skill of Glacial Art Ice Sculptors as they create a masterpiece before your eyes during live demonstrations throughout the day.
The popular ice trail returns with seven letters hidden within the ice around Lytham’s charming streets. Hunt down all the letters to reveal the secret word and you could win fantastic prizes – simply collect your trail form from the Discover Fylde team in Clifton Square and submit your entry on the day.
Highlights of this year’s sculptures include an eye-catching tandem bicycle outside Apex Cycles, ideal for couples’ photos, alongside creations celebrating Lytham’s unique character and heritage. With entertainment for the little ones throughout the day and the event falling on the first day of the February half-term, it’s the perfect free family day out.
