Sound of Silence - Thursday 28 August at 7.30pm in The STUDIO

Blackpool Grand is proud to present this powerful play as part of the Baton of Hope tour 2025, which this year will launch in Blackpool on Monday 1 September. Inspired by the real story of Ross McCarthy, this thought provoking piece from Brian Daniels explores the devastating impact of a suicide on the wider family. ‘Jack’ appeared to have a great life – a partner, a young child, a great social life, supportive family – did they see the Jack they wanted to see and not the Jack whose emotional life was complex and chaotic? Would he have contemplated ending his life if he knew the support and love that was intrinsic in his life? After the play there will be the opportunity to participate in a discussion about the audience’s own mental health challenges and those of their family, friends and colleagues. Tickets £7.
