Ormskirk Gingerbread Festival 

13th July 

Enjoy a bite of one of Lancashire's favourite sweet treats, Ormskirk Gingerbread, as the town celebrates its culinary heritage. With live music, activities and of course the chance to grab a bite of the sweet stuff yourself, Ormskirk is the place to be.

Dino Fest, Lancaster  
12th – 13th July 

The dinosaurs will take to the streets of Lancaster once again this Saturday and Sunday with live performances, shows and activities to join in with across the city on both days. Head to Lancaster City Museum for face painting or visit The Judges Lodgings for dinosaur slime workshops!

Capital of Dance, Blackpool  

July 2025 

Blackpool has once again come alive with the movement of dance. This month-long festival began on 1st July and continues to celebrate the resort's unrivalled dance heritage. With a Dance Marathon Week on Blackpool's Comedy Carpet where you can expect free dance workshops and performances daily. That’s not all there’s silent discos, dance workshops and plenty of spectacular performances, there is so much to get involved in.

Affinity Lancashire's Big 30th Birthday Bash, Fleetwood 

12th – 13th July 

The big 30 is a huge milestone for most, and Affinity Lancashire are not letting theirs go unnoticed. A whole weekend of fun lies ahead with live music, fairy shows, face painting, theatre and more spread across Saturday and Sunday. Visitors will also have the chance to "spin to win" great prizes on Saturday!

Waterfoot Wakes  

11th – 12th July 

Looking for a full week of fun? Then look no further. Waterfoot Wakes is an annual community and arts festival taking place in the beautiful village of Waterfoot in Rossendale over 9 days. This year's festival starts on Friday 11th July and there are so many great things to watch, from theatre shows to live music and films. Visitors can also get involved in the action with workshops, puppet petting zoos, henna and face painting opportunities. A major part of the action, the Waterfoot Wakes Parade will take place this Saturday 12th July

Penny Farm Summer Fair, Blackpool  

13th July 

Enjoy a fun day out for all the family at Penny Farm. This Sunday, 13th July, will see the annual summer fair take root at the farm with donkey rides, archery, Land Rover Club, stalls, games, competitions and entertainment from local singers and dancers plus so much more. ​​​​​​This is all in addition to the ponies at the farm which you can meet. So stop by and join in the fun and find out more about the important work that the team at Penny Farm undertake.

Princess and Pirates Day at West Lancashire Light Railway, Hesketh Bank 

13th July 

Lancashire's only narrow guage railway will get even better on Sunday as they host the Princess and Pirates day. This fun day with a pirate galleon, beautiful princesses and horrid pirates will be opened by the Hesketh Bank Rose Queen, with prizes for the best costumes available.  

Take a ride on the trains, free for all children in costume, and enjoy face painting, magician shows, children's fairground ride, live steam pirate model railway, 'Fireman's Shovel' food wagon and tearoom.

Heskin Hall Fun Dog Show, Chorley  

13th July 

Head along to the historic Heskin Hall with your pooch this Sunday for tail-wagging good fun! The hall will play host to many furry friends for their Annual Fun Dog Show, with parades to find the best dressed dog, best dressed dog & owner, waggiest tail, best trick, pupstar and golden oldie. Plus there will lots of laughs as they play “Catch the Sausage” , Musical sit & lots more and live entertainment from the Chorley silver band.  The hall will also be debuting their all new pawsome dog menu in the café too.

Colne Family Fun Day  

13th July 

A more recent addition to the events calendar for Colne Town Council, the Family Fun Day will be held on Sunday 13th July at Alkincoats Park. There will be something for everyone to enjoy with much of the entertainment being completely free of charge. In addition there will also be giant inflatables, food vendors, funfair rides plus a huge market.
