TV star Kym Marsh to make her gripping Grand debut in Single White Female

Get ready to become obsessed with TV favourite KYM MARSH as she looks for a SINGLE WHITE FEMALE in the spine-tingling new stage drama at Blackpool Grand Theatre from Tuesday 17 February to Saturday 21 February 2026.

Starring multi-talented actor and singer Kym Marsh (Coronation Street, Waterloo Road, Abigail’s Party), this brand-new stage adaptation of the cult chiller from JAS Theatricals, ATG Productions and Gavin Kalin Productions is written by author, journalist and broadcaster Rebecca Reid (Perfect Liars, Truth Hurts) and is a bold and modern reimagining of the bestselling book SWF Seeks Same by John Lutz.

John’s darkly disturbing novel was also famously adapted by Colombia Pictures into the smash-hit movie Single White Female in 1992, which famously starred Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh as roommates who grow close before taking a surprisingly sinister turn and led a generation of thrilled audiences to fear a stiletto heel!

Packed full of dark humour and razor-sharp storytelling; this powerful new play updates the original story to the age of social media and all that it brings, in a gripping tale of ambition, obsession and the desperate need for belonging in an increasingly isolated world.

Allie is a recently divorced mum, balancing being a single parent with the launch of her tech start up. When she decides to advertise for a lodger to help make ends meet, the delightful Hedy offers her a lifeline. But as their lives intertwine, boundaries blur, and a seemingly perfect arrangement begins to unravel…
