Sponsor Lancashire Tea encourages teams to sign up the 'Race Across Lancashire' charity fundraiser

Teams are being encouraged to sign up to take part in a ‘Race Across Lancashire’ event, an exciting fundraising challenge organised by the charity Lancashire Women. This adventure event, taking place on the 6^th & 7^th September, is inspired by the popular TV show ‘Race Across the World’ and invites teams to register for an unforgettable journey across the county.

The fundraiser challenges participants to navigate from checkpoint to checkpoint throughout Lancashire without the luxury of private transport, substantial budgets, or GPS guidance. Teams will rely on public transportation, local footpaths, and their problem-solving abilities to travel between locations, facing unique challenges that celebrate Lancashire's rich heritage.

Lancashire Women offers support with mental health and wellbeing (1-to-1 sessions and group sessions), employment guidance, money advice and energy advice. It also has a Justice & Safety team who work with women in the justice system or women who might face homelessness or domestic abuse. 

As the main event sponsor, Lancashire Tea will maintain a prominent presence at every checkpoint, providing refreshments and support to participants as they tackle challenges inspired by local history, legends, and the inspiring women who have shaped our communities.

All proceeds from the event will directly support Lancashire Women's essential programs and services for women and families throughout the region. Teams are encouraged to gather additional sponsorships and donations as part of their participation.

Participants will receive a race pack containing a traditional map, limited travel budget, and clues to help them navigate between checkpoints. Just like in the TV show, strategy, resourcefulness, and teamwork will be key to success.
