HAPPA (Horses and Ponies Protection Association) have announced their activities for the half-term holiday and Jubilee celebrations at Shores Hey Farm in Briercliffe, Burnley, including pony grooming, crown decorating and an afternoon tea all on the programme.

All week a FREE Facts with Fergus Trail, a horse quiz based around the Farm, is available to complete when you book your visit at the Visit Us section of the HAPPA website www.happa.org.uk/visit-us

On Tuesday 31st May, Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd June Pony Grooming sessions will be held between 11am-3pm. Children aged 4+ and adults are invited to groom one of HAPPA’s gentle horses supervised by a member of staff. These sessions are available to pre-book on HAPPA’s website when purchasing an entry ticket.

To celebrate the Jubilee on Thursday 2nd, Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th visitors will be able to decorate their own Royal Crown in the Farm’s Activity Room, which can be purchased alongside entry ticket. Visitors will be able to take a picture on the ‘throne’ and tag in the Charity on social media #JubileeatHAPPA.

But that's not all, the Team are holding Own a Pony Days and Beginners Guide to Horse and Pony Care Courses throughout the week. If you, or anyone you know, is a keen equestrian here’s a chance to expand knowledge and skills, or develop new ones, through a range of courses with interactive sessions and classroom-based activities. The onsite Cafe will be open serving a selection of food and drink all week, including a Right Royal Jubilee Afternoon Tea on Sunday 5th June.
