As farmers, they work with their wildlife and provide the perfect habitats for a wide range of creatures, whether that be through providing winter bird feed, from their crops and hedgerows, or shelter in their hedges, trees and barns, or water from their ponds and other watercourses.

Throughout the year Ridgeway Farm are fortunate to share their home with a variety of birds; Corn Bunting, Oystercatchers, Gold Finches, Blue Tits, Great Tits, Long Tail Tits, Buzzards, Kestrels, Sparrow Hawks, Black Birds, Jays, Nut Hatchers, Robin, Woodpecker Wagtails, Shell ducks, Snipe, Wood Pigeon, Redwing, Mistle Thrush, Wren, Merlin, Magpie, Barn Owl, Little Owl, Canadian Geese, Rooks, Swallows, Swifts, Chiff Chaff, Chaffinch, Tree Sparrow, Curlews and Lapwings, just to name a few!
