Halloween is fast approaching and there’s no better way to get into the spooky spirit than pumpkin picking.

Pumpkin picking is becoming more popular every year, with all shapes, colours and sizes ready to be picked and carved. Even better, most places now provide you with the option to carve your pumpkin there, so you can leave your mess behind!

This year there’s lots of places across Lancashire offering Pumpkin Picking, but booking is essential and things are booking up quick. Book now to make sure you don’t miss out.

Visit Mrs Dowson’s premium pumpkin patch this Halloween. Choose from a variety of 12 different weird and wonderful pumpkin types, meet the live scarecrow actors and pose for a boo-tiful family photo at the one of many photo opportunities. 

The fun doesn’t have to stop at the pumpkin patch, your ticket also includes full farm admission, meaning you can go and explore some of the cute animals the farm park has to offer.

Bowland Wild Boar Park

Book your farm entry tickets to Bowland Wild Boar Park  where you can pick your own pumpkin and then carve it into a masterpiece at one of the Family Pumpkin Carving sessions.

Windmill Animal Farm

Farmer Chris has planted over 20,000 pumpkins at Windmill Animal Farm ready to be picked this October.

After recently being recognised by Visit England as one of the top 10 places to pumpkin pick, the famous pumpkin picking adventure at Windmill Animal Farm is back where you can explore and pick your own pumpkin from exactly where they are grown.  

Experience more than just pumpkin picking at Windmill Animal Farm as your admission includes full-day’s access to Windmill animal farm.

One pumpkin is included per ticket, but if that’s not enough you are welcome to purchase more pumpkins on the day. Wheel barrows will be provided but don’t forget your wellies!

Grab a wheelbarrow and take a walk through the spooky decorated Greenlands Farm. Look out for the witches, skeletons and spider webs as you make your way to the Pumpkin Village where you will be able to pick your own pumpkin.

Pose for a photo at one of the many pumpkin displays, visit the locally crafted scarecrows and even handle the creepy crawlies in the Reptile room. That’s not all, once you have finished exploring everything the farm has to offer, you can head to the undercover straw play areas where you can carve your pumpkin into a masterpiece.

Ridgeway Farm Pumpkin Festival

The Ridgeway Farm Pumpkin Festival is back bigger than better! Grab you wellies and come down to meet some of the friendly animals whilst you pick one of the amazing pumpkins. Even better, after picking your own pumpkin you can transport it (in one of the very stylish wheel barrows) and decorate it whilst enjoying a well deserved brew and a snack.

Tickets are £7 per person and includes both entry to the farm and a pumpkin. Adults may swap the pumpkin for a hot drink but everyone needs a ticket.
