A packed season of family theatre at The Dukes gets underway this February half term with the charming new show Wolf!

Families will be howling with delight as they’re invited to find out what happens when Jack cries wolf in this energetic new take on the classic children’s fable from acclaimed family theatre company Kitchen Zoo, who return to the venue following their 2018 production of The Owl and the Pussycat.

Combining original music and delightful puppetry, the show follows Jack, a child who is bored of watching and counting sheep on the mountain and cries out wolf to the village below, causing a panic.

Suitable for children aged 3+, there are two performances of the show on Friday February 21, at 11.30am and 1.30pm. Tickets are priced at £8.

Following on from Wolf!, families will be able to enjoy a host of theatre especially programmed from children, ranging from familiar faces, such as CBeebies’ Sarah & Duck, Moomins and Mr Men and Little Miss, to new versions of old stories, like Northern Ballet’s Little Red Riding Hood.

Programme Manager Johnathan Ilott says, “We’re delighted to have such an exciting season of family shows for audiences to enjoy. It’s a fantastic opportunity for families to experience live theatre together.”
