The festive period kicks off when the Harris plays host to a range of independent designers, artisans and creatives from across Lancashire on Saturday 30th November and 1st December.

Starting the countdown to Christmas, the two day marketplace will bring together more than 45 invited artists and makers, giving visitors a chance to purchase unique artworks, homeware, fashion and foodie gifts. Visitors can take the pressure out of Christmas shopping at this one-stop shop by exploring an Aladdin’s cave of magical stalls offering plenty of choice, variety and fun, and it’s all under one roof.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, shoppers can also enjoy live music from Preston-based Broughton Handbell Ringers (Saturday) and Kittyhawk Ceilidh Band (Sunday).

There’s also great coffee and cake available from the ground floor take-away cafe and the seated pop-up cafe in the bright and airy surroundings of the first floor Heritage Reading Room.

Don’t miss this chance to browse stalls packed with hundreds of unique gifts, stocking-fillers, decorations and artisan food at prices to suit all pockets.

Time Joel, Deputy Head of Culture at the Harris, said,

“The popularity and success of previous Christmas fairs was the motivation to make this year’s even bigger and better than we’ve had before.

“There’s such great talent across this county that must be celebrated and an appetite from customers to find that special gift for friends and loved ones.

“Save the date and support small businesses and home-grown talent by shopping local this Christmas.”
