Food, Arts & Music Festival - 21 - 22 September 2019
Award winning chefs set to host host live demonstrations throughout the festival weekend.

The inaugural Food, Arts and Music Festival has today revealed two world renowned chefs, Jean Chrstiophe Novelli & Aldo Zilli, who are set to headline the food arena, showcasing their culinary expertise during live cooking demonstrations.

Jean Christophe began his career at the tender age of fourteen as a baker in his hometown of Arras, Northern France before becoming Private Head Chef to Elie de Rothschild and his son Nathanial in Paris at just 19 years of age.

When he moved to the UK in 1983 he worked in several well-known establishments including The Chewton Glen but Jean-Christophe’s life changed completely in 1989 when invited by Keith Floyd to take charge of ‘The Maltsters’ as the Chef Patron, leading to his move to the Gordonton Mill in Hampshire where he won his first Michelin star after only one year. In 1994 Jean Christophe was offered the position of head chef at the Four Seasons Hotel in Park lane with another Michelin star immediately!

In1996 Jean Christophe began the foundations for mini empire of 7 establishments, across UK, France and South Africa.   The first of which was his award-winning Maison Novelli in Clarkenwell Green.  Followed shortly after by a second venture in Mayfair in which he gained another Michelin Star.

Jean Christophe Novelli will be joined by award winning chef Aldo Zilli.
Aldo Zilli is an award-winning celebrity chef who specialises in Italian, vegetarian and seafood cuisine. One of nine children, he was born in the small seaside town of Alba Adriatica in the central Italian region of Abruzzo and first learnt Italian home cooking from his mother, then catering college.

He was the founder and chef-patron of some of London’s most exciting and innovative restaurants, Signor Zilli, Zilli Green, Zilli Café and Zilli Bar. His Italian seafood restaurant, Zilli Fish, was a Soho institution and had been open for over 15 years until March 2012 when Aldo decided to hang up his chef's whites and embark on other ventures.

Aldo is currently executive consultant chef to the San Carlo Group’s latest restaurant San Carlo St James on Regent Street, providing advice and expertise alongside devising new seasonal menus for it.
