Chorley Council is bringing popular comedian, Zoe Lyons, community acts, circus performers and a fantastic singalong show to Chorley town centre under the theme of the worldwide phenomenon The Greatest Showman film, to start the town’s Christmas celebrations with a bang.

The Christmas magic starts in Chorley town centre on Saturday 17 November with the luminous local tradition that is Chorley’s Christmas lights switch on.
The festivities kick off in style on Saturday 17th November with the annual Christmas Light Switch On. Join Rock FM’s Steve and Janine from 4:30pm in Darwen Market Square, with live entertainment from superstar Nadine Coyle of Girls Aloud fame and watch as lights are switched on at 6.30pm followed by a spectacular firework finale.

The Hopeful & Glorious Winter Art Fair will make a spectacular return to Lytham Hall this November . With a dazzling selection of locally made art, craft & design. Back for the 5th year, this popular event will take place across the weekend of 17 & 18 of November.
Come and join in a lantern making workshop with a professional lantern artist to create a beautiful paper and willow lantern for the Lantern Parade on Saturday 15th December 2018. These sessions at Blackburn Market, are open to all, suitable for age 5-95, and are free, though there is a suggested donation of £3. This is a messy gluey activity, so please wear suitable clothing.
Taking place on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November, from 10am to 4pm, entry is FREE and with over 50 exhibitors it’s perfect for picking up all your festive food, drink and gifts. Each day will have different exhibitors and a different entertainment schedule!
