The countdown is on for the biggest night of Blackpool’s summer – the Blackpool Illuminations Switch-On concert which takes place on Friday 31st August!

The final line-up is now confirmed with performances by Ella Eyre, Jonas Blue, Diversity and DVJ, Rae Morris, HRVY, and Club MTV DJs R3Wire and Varksi, followed by the switch-on by international music star Alfie Boe.

Although the 20,000 free wristbands have now been allocated, at least half of them to local residents, there are two ways you can still guarantee your place at this amazing outdoor show:

New for this year, is the Switch-On Golden Circle where a limited number of people will be able to get a close-up view of the show in an exclusive Golden Circle section on the Tower Festival Headland Arena. Tickets for the enclosure, which will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, are available at £10 each. To apply go to https://www.skiddle.com/e/13292801

Cllr Gillian Campbell, Deputy Leader of Blackpool Council, said: “The demand for Switch-On tickets gets greater every year, with a record 130,000 applying this year.

“On the back of that demand, we have created an additional area within the arena without compromising the number of free wristbands allocated to visitors and residents. This will enable people to get a brilliant Switch-On experience at low cost.”

There are also a limited number of packages left if you want to have the full VIP Switch-On experience.

The VIP offer includes access to a covered marquee within the Switch-On arena with a complimentary drink on arrival, picnic box and Notarianni’s ice cream, as well as passes to the exclusive after-show party in The Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

The after-show party will include a choice of street food provided by award-winning catering company, Campbell & Rowley, with entertainment including live performances by The Blackpool Tower Circus performers and music from Touch the Pearl, plus a cash bar.

The VIP package costs £69 for adults and £35 for under 14s. To book go to, www.visitblackpool.com/switchon

There is also an opportunity for a limited number of holders of Switch-On wristbands and Golden Circle passes to upgrade to gain access to the after-show party in The Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

These tickets will include the street food and entertainment included within the VIP package and are priced at £25 for adults, £15 for children. To apply go to: https://www.skiddle.com/e/13292801
