It’s here, the bank holiday weekend and sun is still shining!

Make the most of the extra long weekend and have fun in Lancashire this May Bank Holiday weekend. Across the county you will find lots of great events and things to, you'll be spoilt for choice.

Shrek The Musical, Blackpool - until Sunday 27 May
Join Shrek, the unlikely hero, and his loyal steed Donkey as they set off on a quest to rescue the beautiful (if slightly temperamental) Princess Fiona from her tower, guarded by a fire breathing love-sick dragon.

G-Festival, Preston - 25 - 27 May
Live music is played over the three days with over 15 different artists taking to the G-Festival Stage. This year they are pleased to announce that Brit Award winner and winner of the television programme 'The Voice', Kevin Simm, will be live on stage.

Crafty Vintage - Makers of Market Square, Darwen - 26 May
Makers of Market Square will be taking over the square on Saturday 26 May to launch Darwen Live. Join, socialise and meet some of the finest makers, creators, collectectors, and vintage enthusiasts in the land.

1940s Weekend at the East Lancashire Railway - 26 - 28 May
Take a train ride back in time to the fabulous forties! Dust off your dancing shoes for a weekend of vintage glamour at the East Lancashire Railway’s award-winning event.

Downy Duckling Week, WWT Martin Mere - 26 May - 3 June
Visit the award winning Downy Duckling Week. See the whole egg-to-duckling process, take part in fascinating 'candling' workshops and visit their duckling nursery. With much more activities on off this is not to be missed.

Waddy Sausage Sizzle - 27 May
It's all about the Waddington Arms Sausage Sizzle. Burgers, sausages sizzling from 4pm. With pizza being served from the outdoor pizza oven from 5pm. (Veggie options also available). Live music from 4pm.

Bubble & Bounce at Guy's Thatched Hamlet - 27 May - 3 June
A field full of fun! A gigantic outdoor play field: with over 30 bouncy castles, slides, ball ponds, giant inflatables, kiddies rides. Squeeze, bounce, crawl and slide through every shape and size of inflatable imaginable.

Pony World at Thornton Hall Farm - 27 - 28 May
Join them for a 'Pony Mad' Bank Holiday at Thornton Hall Farm. Guaranteed to be loved by all ages. Pony rides, demonstrations and plenty of farm fun including animal feeding, animal petting, egg collecting & much more!

Darwen Live 2018 - 27 - 28 May
A free festival run over two days. Darwen Live has now become an intrinsic part of Darwen’s culture, it presents 100s of musicians, at many venues in and around the town centre.
