Woofers comedy club is back. Featuring some of the best comedic talents in live comedy right on your doorstep in the Fylde Coast. Hosted by the very own regular MC Phil Walker, you are pretty much guaranteed a great night of side-splitting fun.
This month you are treated as you welcome not one but two top headliner comics:
The amazing Christian Reilly. Christian's first comedy gig was in the Perrier Award-winning show, Rich Hall is Otis Lee Crenshaw. He is a global comedy circuit headliner and has appeared at numerous international comedy festivals, on BBC radio and TV, and in four series of the Chortle Award-winning stand-up and sketch show Richard Herring: As It Occurs To Me. In 2015, BBC Radio 4 followed Christian on the road to the Edinburgh Fringe for Lives In a Landscape. 2016 saw Christian taking his comedy to Australia as part of Perth's Fringeworld festival. Christian has performed at the Edinburgh Festival since 1999, and his most recent show, Gig Economy, was released on DVD through Go Faster Stripe in 2019.
'A charmingly confident performer, an accomplished musician and a clever comic… The funniest songs I have heard in a long time.', The Scotsman.
'If you're a fan of Bill Bailey or Rich Hall, you're probably a Christian Reilly fan already', The Guardian.
The circuit legend who is, Gavin Webster. Gavin Webster is an award winning and legendary comedian from the north east of England. After making his modest debut in a pub in Gateshead in February 1993, on the same bill as Ross Noble he's worked all over the globe, famed and respected by his peers for his uncompromising and unusual approach and distinctly original routines, he now boasts a large cult following round the country. Gavin has also supported some of the biggest household names on tour including Kevin Bridges, Alexi Sayle, Lee Evans, Jack Dee and Phill Jupitus. In 2014, he was named UK Circuit Comedian of the Year, as voted for by fellow professional comedians online. He has also become a cult hero at the Edinburgh Fringe having performed an amazing ten solos shows over his career. His television work includes Never Mind The Buzzcocks (BBC2), The Stand-up Show (BBC1), Does Doug Know (Channel 4), Take The Mike (ITV), The Regionnaires (Tyne Tees), The Eleven O Clock show (Channel 4), The Comedy Store, Comedy Blue (Comedy Central) and The World Stand Up Tour (Channel 9 Australia, Comedy Central USA).
'Like a cross between Bill Hicks and Geoff off Byker Grove', Ross Noble.
And if that's not enough, Woofers are also delighted to welcome the very funny Dawn Bailey. Dawn Bailey is a comedian known for her relatable humor and down-to-earth comedic style. Described as 'the female Peter Kay'. She draws from her own life experiences and delivers sharp observations with warmth and wit, making her a crowd favorite. Dawn's engaging stage presence and authentic storytelling have earned her a growing fan base on the comedy circuit. Pin sharp anecdotes from a life juggling a career, kids, attending weekly slimming club meetings and the joys of involuntary flatulence. She's a very funny lady.
Book early to save money with advance tickets and to avoid disappointment as these show get very busy. Please note that line-ups are occasionally subject to change due to comedians being fragile little souls.
