Woofers Comedy Club is back. Featuring some of the best comedic talents in live comedy right on your doorstep, on the Fylde Coast. Hosted by regular MC Phil Walker, you are pretty much guaranteed a great night of side-splitting fun.
Headliner:
The hilarious Steve Shanyaski. Endlessly charming, Steve's inherent warmth and cheeky, roguish twinkle shines through his material, elevating him to quite another level as a performer. Within the first six months of his comedy career he made it through to the semi-finals of the BBC New Comedian of the Year and the North West Comedian of the Year final, and later that year was booked to appear on the BBC7 Radio Showcase Spanking New. Since then he has gone from strength to strength, adding to this list of accolades by being named the Holsten Pils Comedian of the Year and the Birmingham Comedy Festival Best Breaking Talent. Combining surreal observations with wild imaginings, his off kilter set pieces have audiences fully immersed in 'Stevie World' as he leads them Pied Piper-like, down the charming avenues of his inner mind.
'Like a mixture between Eddie Izzard and Peter Kay… with a guitar!'. Stockport Express.
'A star in the making.' City Life.
Joining Steve, the always brilliant Eddy Brimson. Eddy is one of the UK circuits most in demand headline acts working regularly with all the leading promoters. Eddy is equally at home internationally having taken to the stage from Norway to China with just about everywhere in between. He was one of the first ever comics to perform in Myanmar and invitations to perform at the Altitude Festival in the French Alps, the New Zealand International Comedy Festival and both the Melbourne and Perth Comedy Festivals in Australia have secured his place in the comedy industry. He is also a regular at the Edinburgh Festival where he once even played a gig naked. Thankfully no cameras were allowed into the venue.
'Engaging and compelling, Brimson doesn't f*@k about', Three Weeks.
Lou Conran. Lou is quite simply hilarious. She started stand up comedy in 2006 and has gigged regularly ever since. She gigs up and down the country and is a regular for The Comedy Store, Liverpool's Baby Blue, Frog & Bucket, Manchester, Hilarity Bites, Buzz Comedy, amongst many others. Lou has supported Sarah Millican and Puppetry and has been delighting audiences with her naughty but nice delivery recently on the high seas for Virgin cruise lines. Her friendly presence and her instinctive wit, have helped establish Lou as one of the brightest comics on the circuit today. She has been described as having a touch of the Victoria Wood about her. Look out for Lou on her regular touring shows.
'Naturally funny.' Sarah Millican.
Please note that line-ups are occasionally subject to change due to comedians being fragile little souls.
