Woofers Comedy Club is back. Featuring some of the best comedic talents in live comedy, right on your doorstep on the Fylde Coast. Hosted by regular MC Phil Walker, you are pretty much guaranteed a great night of side-splitting fun. Starting a new season with a double headline, featuring two comedy legends.
Phil Nichol is a truly unique performer. An acclaimed actor, award winning comedian, producer, presenter, writer and musician, there is no end to his talent. Phil is an energetic and exciting performer with an unquenchable thirst to break boundaries and innovate with his work. His skill as an improviser, whether it be musical, comedy or straight is unparalleled. With a surreal edge to his mischievous rantings, Nichol always brings something new to the stage. His keen sense of fun and eye for the shocking and absurd has cemented his position as one of the best comedians on the circuit today. Phil's assured and award winning performances in his theatrical work have attracted critical accolades and see him in great demand as an actor.
'Phil Nichol is a born entertainer. Phil is a multi-faceted performer meaning he can do everything from musical comedy to one-liners, storytelling, characterisation, black comedy, blue comedy — you name it', The Scotsman ★★★★★.
As an actor, Archie Kelly is best known for his comic portrayal of Kenny 'Dalglish' Senior in the award winning Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights. He has also appeared in a number of popular TV shows including Brassic, another award winning series, Jimmy McGovern's The Street, Max & Paddy's Road To Nowhere, Car Share etc etc, the man's CV in insane. However, it is a live performer that Archie really excels, a proper comedy legend in every sense of the word, do not miss this chance to see him perform live, one of the very best.
'Funniest thing I've seen in ages', Peter Kay.
Also, introducing one of the brightest rising stars on the circuit, Adam Anwar. Adam burst onto the comedy scene in 2018, winning Manchester's Beat the Frog competition in his first gig. He was since been awarded Leicester Comedy Festival Circuit Breaker 2022 and labelled 'Bolton's next big thing' by the Bolton News.
