Woofers Comedy Club

Running time: two hours, 10 minutes.
Age guidance: 18 years +.

Woofers Comedy Club is back.  Featuring some of the best comedic talents in live comedy right on your doorstep, on the Fylde Coast.  Hosted by regular MC Phil Walker, you are pretty much guaranteed a great night of side-splitting fun.

Headlining this month, welcoming comedian's comedian of the year, the superb Mick Ferry.  Manchester based Mick Ferry is established as one of the most sought after comics on the British and International comedy circuit, a supremely versatile performer, he is now widely recognised as one of the most talented and original stand-ups to have emerged from the north.  He has performed alongside Johnny Vegas, Sean Lock, Peter Kay, Al Murray and Steve Coogan.

A creative and prolific writer, Mick has had an impressive catalogue of solo shows; debuting his first show Mick Ferry's Won F*&K All! to a sell-out audience and great critical acclaim at the Manchester Comedy Festival back in 2004.  His debut at The Edinburgh Comedy Festival came in 2004 when he appeared as part of the Big Value Comedy Show.  He has been a regular fixture at the Edinburgh Festival ever since, presenting his first full solo show in 2009; The Comedy Final.  He returned in 2010 with The Missing Chippendale (Body Issues), in 2011 with Sod It, in 2013 with Mick Ferry Has Been Found Wanting, in 2014 with What's Going On? and 2015 with Mick Ferry is Just A Bloke.  TV credits include performances on BBC 1's Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, Sky 1's John Bishop's Only Joking and three series of The Comedy Store for Comedy Central.  He has also appeared on BBC 2's Running Late, and The World Stands Up and Comedy Blue for Comedy Central.  His big screen debut came in 2009, in Ken Loach's Looking For Eric; a hit feature film at the Cannes Film Festival where it was nominated for the prestigious Palm D'Or.  'See him or regret it, A great comedian', John Bishop.

Joining Mick is Dave Twentyman.  Dave is upbeat, cheery, down to earth, friendly, warm, quick on his feet, just some words that have been used to describe one of the most naturally funny comics on the UK comedy circuit today.  Dave has performed at a number of music festivals such as Leeds, V Festival and Download.  It's no wonder then that Dave is one of the few modern comedians who proudly feature on the Blackpool Comedy Carpet, a relatively new tourist attraction featuring the names of comedy greats from past and present and a huge honour for any comic.  He's an affable, quick-witted comedian who somehow survived a childhood in St Helens by evolving rapid, startlingly-bright patter and a smile that he somehow stole from Barry Manilow.  With jokes and tales that you can't help but relate to, he endears himself to even the rowdiest of audiences with ease and quite rightly is in hot demand at the biggest comedy clubs in the UK and overseas.  Dave has appeared on Made In The Northwest (ITV) and his radio credits include XFM Manchester, BBC Manchester and Key 103.  'Best I've seen in ages...', Dave Spikey.

Simon Wozniak.  Since starting stand-up in 2014, Simon has gone on to quickly establish himself as one to watch, hotly-tipped by the industry as a future star.  Still only relatively new to the circuit, Simon's frenetic and opinionated style has seen him rise phenomenally through the ranks and he can now be seen performing regularly at some of the biggest and best comedy clubs in the country.  In 2016 he was the winner of both the Nottingham Comedy Festival New Act of the Year and the World Series Panel Prize, Beat The Frog.  In 2019 he was the runner-up in the prestigious Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year.  Cheerfully self-deprecating, Simon is a comic who is confident with joke structure and can use his skills to present unpredictable punchlines which take the wind out of his audience.  'A real star in the making!', Time Out.

Please book early as these shows regularly sell out.  Also line ups are occasionally subject to change due to circumstances out of the venue's control.
